If you are flying out at Sanford, instead of taking exit 98 to Lake Mary Bvd, go up another junction to 102b/c CR46 To the right you will see Seminole Town Centre county shopping mall.
This is where the locals shop and the prices are way way lower than Orlando. The mall itself it about the half the size of Lakeside, there is a food court out back. Outside the mall is Steak and Shake and Orlando Ale House (where we watched the baseball) There is a Ross dress for less, Old Navy and The Avenue plus (for larger ladies) Over the road is a Books a million (wonderful shop)Various other shops around the mall.
On county road 46 opposite Seminole TC is a Waffle House and Brannigans (excellent food there too). You can travel east along CR46 and then down to Lake Mary Road and into Sanford airport.
