Dunkin Donuts have announced they will no longer be using trans fats in their donuts so you do not need to feel so guilty when you eat them:)

Oh they are Mr CDVs fave too Blott, I like Maple with sprinklies and the Vanilla Creme, if the icing sugar doesn't get you in a mess the creme does, oh not long to go now.....drool!

Does that mean we can eat more then if they are better for you?

Just love the Boston creme donut.

We went to Bluewater yesterday and had to come away with a dozen assorted from Krispy Kreme as we need some sort of Florida fix and December seems a long way off at the moment.

In my book definitely eat more - downside is probably have to devote more time in the gym but it will be worth it :D

Krispy Kreme - pah! Not a patch on a Boston Creme and, oooh yes, CDV, maple with sprinkles, scrummmmy, from Dunkin' Donuts!

Oh goodness, now I'm thinking about a lovingly toasted blueberry bagel with lite cream cheese, a large mango smoothie, followed swiftly by a Boston creme - help! Jill, you've got a lot to answer for starting this thread!

Now the donuts gone all healthy and sort of sound, well... even good for you, I'm gonna feel even less guilty than not feeling guility at all. [clap]

This has been dicsussed previously on here. I'm sure that I've seen Dunkin Donuts in the UK although I can't for the life of me remember where. Might have been 1 of my senior moments[msnembarrased]

Incidentally, while DD was originally a US company, it's actually a subsiduary of Allied Domecq - a UK company with its headquarters in Bristol.

In the 70's I worked shifts in London running a mainframe computer, late at night we would get a box of doughnuts from DD. I think they were around Fleet Street/Blackfriars,

Blott were do you get Blueberry bagels from? Would love to try them next time I'm out.

There was a DD in Glasgow opposite Boots on the corner of Jamacia Street when I was working in the city at 17 not sure if it is still there though, probably taken over by McD.

My Dad used to run Glasgow City Centre Olivers and when he let me into the bakery I used to get the donuts straight out of the sugar. That is still my favourite type of donut the yeasty one covered in sugar best eaten hot and I can still see him making them now[^]

My claim to fame is that in 14 years of travelling to Florida, I have - until now - managed to resist DD.

Thanks a lot Jill for the encouragement to try a DD[gun][gun]

I wonder if I can resist with a change of fat???[msnscared]

[/quote]What I quoted is part of the menu at your local yummy Dunkin' Donuts store and one of my fave lunchtime munchies. :) If you want to try them at home, you can probably get them on the take out menu.

Blott I agree DD are better than KK but beggars cannot be choosers and we will have to wait until December for our next Boston Creme. I did have a very nice strawberry donut in March and hope they are still doing that one as well.

We love bagels and blueberry and lite cream cheese is one of my favourites, but our local Asda does not often have blueberry bagels.[msncry]
