Hi

We fly from Manchester tomorrow and have just tried to check in online with Virgin. First it said it could check in 3 of our family but not the fourth and then when it got to the end, it said it couldn't check any of us in.

Has anyone used online check in today?

Thanks

Jude

Are you travelling with any infants?

If get to the airport between 6-6.30am and you will be first in the queue as we were on the 9 August[msnwink]

We had similar problems last November with our kids (aged 4 and 7). After trying for almost 3 hours i called Virgin and they said it was down to the ticket we had purchased. They too also tried but to no avail. We arrived at the airport at 7am and there was little in the way of queue and got checked in within 10 mins. It was a different story at Orlando on the return as again it would not allow us to do the online method. We arrived almost 3 hour before departure and it took us over 2 hours just to get checked in. We should have done the DTD check in.

I have had this problem several times and always on the return journey. Virgin at MCO was a shambles extremely long queues. They could not cope with the baggage check in either.
Peak season it may be well worth doing the DTD check in

Thanks for all your replies. We have just arrived back today and had another fab holiday.

Our flight to Orlando was at 1.30pm so we arrived at about 10.30am and there was only one party in front of us so it was fine.

Coming home, we checked in at DTD which was well worth it considering the queue when we got to the airport.

Trip report to follow when jet lag has gone (back to work tomorrow though so may take a while!)

Came back on the 30th with Virgin. Did online check in OK, no one in PE queue and never seen the economy queue so short.
