Definately worth a visit CDV - have been 3 times so far, the salad alone is to die for!

And you will visit many more I am sure! We too have been many times since we bought the villa and go at least once a trip so with an avergae of 6 trips a year over almost 4 years thats a lot of salad............

The salad is one of the best I have tasted even Mr CDV likes it and he is not a fan of "rabbit food" I love the rolls and cinnamon butter to and as not many people like it in my circle so it is all the more for me:D

Mannys is on H27 two blocks down from Southern Dunes. CDV - the cocktails are a bit nicer next door but I can't remember the name of the place ( and no nothing to do with drink:D)

Lynne we went there with Robby and Linda on Xmas Eve and Andy and I had a meal there at New Year, Fish Bones or Fish Tales or something like that. Not much to look at but food was nice and we had a cocktail or two. We choose it because we had gator from their place when they were at the Champions Gate Gatorfest last year and it won first prize.

Helen Mannys is in Haines City just up from Wal*Mart on the other side of the road. It's not too far from any of the communites on the US27 or CR54/Champions Gate areas. Locals drive for miles to come to it.

Fish Bones no longer exsists and is now called T.Bones, we haven't tried it CDV and Lynne, so I can't make any recommendations.

Must admit the food at Manny's is great and we are so lucky to be only a 5 minute drive away.[msntongue]

Obviously, as it is our local, we eat at Manny's a lot and have never been disappointed,
My personal favourites are the ribs and Manny's Sirloin.

We have also tried T-Bones. It's O.K., but not nearly as good as Manny's.

Forgot to mention, if anyone is interested, that Manny's also do take-out, which we tried when we were last in Florida.

It was ideal because it meant that we could put the little ones to bed and still enjoy a good meal in peace!

Peter and I went to collect it and couldn't believe the number of boxes we were given.
You still get the salad and cinammon rolls!

We had enough left for lunch the following day!![msnsmile2][msnsmile2]Now that is good value for money!

Hmmm! Went there last night and enjoyed watching hubbie tuck into his large T-Bone. (I had a smaller sirloin [msnwink])

Our group had a great meal and left with a few boxes.

I normally have half my steak and potato left for lunch the next day, I fill up on salad and rolls. Mind you I tend to order the
French onion soup too[:I]. Never made dessert.

T Bones is just up from my office and at lunch times the car park is very full, the place seems to have become very popular with the lunch crowd.

We ate at T Bones early this year and at the time it was not that busy. The staff were very friendly and we had good meals at a decent price. Would try it again.

Did not know that Manny's do take away but will definitely be trying take out on our next visit.

Thanks folks for the advise. We're staying in Lindfields next year but I've printed off a map. How far a drive would you say it is. Also I see they do takeaway. Do they deliver? Thanks.

Helen

Manny's would be about 30 mins from Lindfields but well worth the trip. It does get very busy and although you can't make reservations, you can call ahead for a table, ie we usually call when we leave the villa and get seated more or less straight away when we arrive.

I have passed Manny's during a February visit and seen a queue out the door and around the building at about 5pm. Apparently Jan-March it is very popular with snowbirds, so be warned!

Hope you enjoy it.

You should see it on Xmas Eve Sandra not even a phone ahead works then!

Sandra, all very good to know. Thanks. It certainly appeals to us. We normally go to the parks for opening time and leave around 3.00pm and normally go back in at night. We could get back to Lindfields, shower and go to Manny's for the early bird special then back to the parks. That sounds like a good theory plan to me - just hope it works in practise.

Thanks again. [clap]
