Check your allowance!!

We received our Tickets today from First Choice and I noticed that the baggage allowance is 23kg, thinking this was a mistake for the Star Class, as we travelled on the same flight in March and the Allowance was 30kg, but the girl said that 23kg is correct and the allowance has changed[msnmad]

I think they have all reduced the amount you can take so will have to make sure lots of light weight clothes as coming back they can still charge for over weight .
Take only what you like and buy some there as so cheap and sales will be on .

I bet you can increase your baggage allowance if you pay a fee.[msnmad]

is this per case? just flew with virgin and our weight allowence was 23kg but we were allowed 2 cases weighing this per person, so 46kg each. 23kg only per person does not seem alot. we went with 4 cases and returned with 7, and we were well within the weight allowence each.( 5 of us)

Were going to Mexico with First Choice next May and I'm a bit sick over the baggage allowance too. I struggle as it is going to florid with a washer never mind a hotel in Mexico.

If you fly sheduled airline (Virgin,BA,Continental etc) the baggage allowance is far greater than charter[msnsmile2]

its 23kg per case, each person is allowed 2 cases each, = 46kg per person over 2 cases. just come back so we would know, you can also double check with virgin themselves.

it is 23kg and only one case each, i checked when booking and that's for premium class too

you can also have 5kg hand luggage each which i plan to use wisely[msnwink]

excess baggage is £8 or £8.50 per kilo (can't remember which) [msneek]

Tricia will you let me know what the first choice flight is like when you get back, we've only booked virgin before so i'm a little apprehensive

Mizzy, we flew with First Choice for the first time in March and I have to say I thought it was better than Virgin, We flew the Premium Class and they give you a menu to choose your meals from. I bet you will be impressed!!

i hope so Tricia, on our last trip we flew prem going out with virgin and economy back as it was just too much price wise both ways

this time when it came to pricing up virgin wanted £700 in total more for prem econ (using miles plus money) than first choice for their premium seats so we're going to give it a go, risky with my two but i'm quietly confident their special assistance will look after us, i hope[msnsmile]
