just got back at the end of july and while we were there we thought we would do 2 dinner shows, medival times and dolly parton, dixie stampead.

medival times, we enjoyed this very much, full bar, no stop refills of soft drinks and beer throughout the main show ( only meant to have 2 of beer, very tipsy when we left)the show was fantastic my children loved it,my 6 year old daughter did when our knight gave her a rose.
worth a visit. oh food was good as well and the kids can get away with eating with there fingers for once.

dolly parton, very disappointed with everything, could only get beer at the bar and for the older female members of the clan who do not drink beer it did not go down well. the main show was just ok but the food was rotten, and at this show you did only get your 2 free drinks. [msnsad]

out of the 2 medival times wins hands down and if you have time it is worth a visit. [clap]

Went to Dixies 2 years ago year and it was ok, it's a bit cheesy overall but I never expect anything good on the food front at these shows and I would give it 6 out of 10 for overall enjoyment. The chicken we had the night we went were tasty and we were all suprised. I hate beer so I can understand how the girls in the party felt. I think we had to pay for the cocktails we had as we did not drink beer, we got them in a plastic boot which I still have in my owner's cupboard somewhere collecting dust.

Did somthing like Medieval Times 20 years ago but I think it was called King Henrys Feast back then and rememeber the food being nothing special but eating it with our hands and being served copious amount of alcohol by serving wenches[msneek].

I like to hear reports about these dinner shows as I am tempted sometimes to give a different one a bash and Capones was always in my mind but I have not heard much positive about that either. I suppose if you go with an open mind that it is family entertainment and not a feast or good booze "up" it would be ok.
