Hi,
First of all I would like to say that this is a top site. The forum is great and the villa choice is massive. In fact so many that its hard to look at them all..
Anyway I have a couple of questions that I hope someone can advise/help me with. Here is the basics: 3people – 21days – understand that it will probably be a 3bed.
1. What would you recommend is the best 21 days to go to Orlando between start of FEB and end of MAR? I had the last week of feb and first 2 in march marked out. Is that good or bad?
2. I have been looking through all the listings but having trouble finding villas with complete private pools. i.e. No overlooking from any other villa at all. Could anyone recommend a villa that has a complete private pool?
Many thanks for your help...
Steve
Hi, welcome to the forum. You have certainly come to the right place for advice on Florida.
I have not been in February but have, over the years, spent all of March there and have always been lucky with the weather. How long queues get during March also depends on when Easter falls, although most English schools no longer have a 2 week Easter holiday.
The best way to find a totally private villa is to key in a request to the sites listed above:
http://www.orlandovillas.com/
http://www.villasflorida.com/
http://www.onlinefloridavillas.com/
http://www.orlandovillarental.com/
In the comments box list that you would like the pool to be completely unoverlooked and owners with pools which fit the description will get back to you.
Most pools can pools probably be seen from some andle and some owners do add screening so people in adjacent pools cannot see into the pool area.
We wish you every success in finding your perfect villa and fabulous holiday in Orlando.
Hi Steve,
I would say last week in Feb, first 2 in March would be a good choice as you avoid uk half term and Easter.
The weather should be warm and sunny then as well.
Regarding the private pool, as Jill says make sure you add that to your comments. It may also help to have a list of other must-haves to narrow your search.
Have fun choosing

HI STEVE .
You will find some lovely villas on these sites and ask the owner if their villa is private or not and I am sure they will give you a anwser .
All times of the year is good depends what you want ( sun and fairly warm or red hot ) .
Hope you enjoy your next visit .

Hi Steve (top name by the way),
The easy answer to your dates question is that any weeks in Feb/Mar are great times to be in Orlando. The weather will be a little cooler at the start of February and hotter at the end of March. Overall you'll still get most days full of sunshine so you get that whole sun, smiles, quality of light, sunglasses required feeling. If you have the flexibility with dates and can avoid the UK school hols and Easter you'll find the place not quite as busy as it gets at peak times. You get fewer queues in the theme parks and it's easier to just walk-in to a restaurant without having to wait to be fed.
In case you get the chance, at the other end of the year September - November is much the same and is a great time to be over in Orlando for all the above reasons. I don't think it's co-incidence that many owners choose Feb-Apr and Sep-Nov as their preferred times to get over to their villas. [msnwink]
Have fun!
Steve, if you search for a secluded pool is not successfull for a 3 bed villa you may well find by widening your search to 4 bed villas you find one you like. I know that myself and other 4 bed owners have bookings from just 2-3 people because they like the villa and what it provides.
Have fun searching [msnsmile2]

Many thanks for all your comments. Much appreciated.
I have one more question about time of year to go. What would be best out of these 2 set of dates?
1. 9th Feb 08 - 1st Mar 08
2. 8th Mar 08 - 29th Mar 08
The reason I ask... is because many places are pointing out that number 2 dates bangs on the busy period for american visitors? would this be correct?
Thanks again for all your replys.
Hi Steve,
Your second set of dates will be much busier as Easter falls on Sunday 23th March 08 all the week before this and after will be very busy.
Good luck with your search:)
Thanks Blottie, got my Saturdays and Sundays mixed up[msnembarrased]

If you want a less busy time the first dates would be the ones to go for as the second lot include not only Easter but also the American Spring Break.
However the weather would be better for the second dates you have given.
Spring break for several universities start the Saturday 6 March so there will be extra visitors.
