I'm not sure how useful this would be for many (if any) of you, but Lufthansa has some great deals at the moment from Germany to Florida.

For example:

FRA-ORL
On sale : 02 Jul 07 - 31 Aug 07
Valid for Travel : 30 Oct 07 - 31 Jan 08
Last Valid Return : 29 Feb 08
Fare Basis Code : WFLYORL
Price : 265 Euros (approx 178 GBP at today's rates)

Price is for return flight, including airport taxes. Flights are non-stop, 5 times a week

OK so you have to travel to Frankfurt, but it might still make it worth your while. The flights don't seem to appear on the Lufthansa website so I suspect they are agent-only fares, but any travel agent could book them for you.

Due to a missed connection at Chicago last Saturday we had to travel with them and have to say that i was very suprised. They do not offer seat back TV's on the Frankfurt to Chicago leg but the cabin staff were very polite, professional and helpful. The seats are all made by Recaro and very confortable, they offer free drinks including beers, spirts and have Movies in both English and German. Would consider them again but its was a 3 leg journey for us,unless they fly direct into MCO.

They are a very efficient airline Sniff but as you say it's the travelling to Frankfurt first and then you fly back over the UK when the flight takes off so it comes down to time v money maybe? I like flying direct myself and never go via anywhere. Hubby does but not me.

(LTU fly direct to Florida from Dusseldorf too but only Miami and Fort Myers, this season they have taken the MCO route off. Germas obviously prefer the Coast).

Yes, agreed. But I know some people do fly from UK to other cities in USA then on from there to Orlando. This would be similar, but you fly from UK to Frankfurt and then from there direct to Orlando, so I thought I'd mention it :)
