for mothers day 08?

i notice that it will be mothers day the sunday after we arrive and i'm thinking it would be nice to be made a fuss off for a change

i think the americans make more of a event of mothers day than us british do?

so any suggestions where to go for a nice mothers day brunch or lunch?

It gets chocka Mizzy so book ahead if you go to one of the nicer places. We forgot it was Mothers Day last trip and ended up deciding to try a new Applebees in our neighbourhood (yuck) and it was stowed to the gunwall and we could not figure out why initially:D

Why not choose another day to go out? You could be spoilt at home on the day and go out somewhere special when it's quieter [msnwink]

Mothers day in the US is different to Mothers day in the UK which one were you thinking of.

At the gaylord palms I would thoroughly recommend Sunset Sams, over the buffet service. I little more expensive but I prefer the food here.

Mother's Day in the US is a really big day where almost everyone takes their mother out for a meal (along with sometimes huge numbers of extended family members) so you need to decide where you want to go quickly and get it booked up.

Instead of a meal out as such, why not try high tea?

As others have said Mothers Day is a quite an event in the US and places certainly get packed. Two years ago we went to Bahama Breeze at around 7pm, we waited over 2 hours for a table.
This year we were travelling home on Mothers Day - after checking in at DTD we went to Celebration for brunch and waited around an hour and a quarter for a table.

So I would definately advise going somewhere you are able to book in advance if possible
