does anyone know the names of all the communities in this area?
I reckon the following are there but am not sure if I am missing a few:
Indian Wells
Chatham Park
Hamilton Reserve
Indian Point
Eagle Point
Liberty Village
Cumbrian Lakes
Terra Verde
Thanks
Elaine
Indian Wells isn't there (it's over the other side of the 192) but Crescent Lakes, Doral Woods and Countryside Manor are, along with Lake Berkley.
There are also some new communities on Oren Brown and also Crystal Cove on Poinciana Boulevard - not all rental home communities though.
If you have a look at the map here you'll see them. http://www.orlandovillas.com/Map.aspx

Two other STR on Siesta Lago are Callabray Parc and Windward Cay. Siesta Lago goes to Mile Marker 13 on 192 and Oren Brown goes to marker 15 (WallMart on Bass Road) On Poinciana Blvd the distance between the two roads is much nearer.

Calabay Parc is on Highway 27 and Windward Cay is off the 192 not far from Medieval Times (on Four Winds Boulevard) - at least they were, the last time I looked!
You may be getting confused with Chatham Park (which is on Siesta Lago) though?
Anyone who does know Oren Brown well will know just how busy it is to make a left turn onto Poinciana. But I'm glad to inform you we were there in June and they have put a set of lights up at the end. They were not working while we were there, they just sprung up overnight but they should be up and running now.

My mistake sorry I thought there were another couple of STR sites before you get to Chatham Park, I couldn't remember the names as it's been some years since I last stayed there. I went onto the mapsite you quoted on here Blott and the numbers shown as near to Chatham Park sounded familiar.
Will have to do a reckie down there again to get my bearings, only 3 months to go.[msnsmile2]
My husband played golf in March with some Canadians who were staying on Siesta Lago opposite Chatham Park, but I cant remember that site either, what it is to have a memorey[msnembarrased]
That may be at Hamilton's Reserve opposite Chatham Park? Next door to Chatham Park there's Montego Bay.
There are also some condo type places but they're nearer to the 192 than opposite Chatham Park.
Hey, any excuse for a visit - I'm deffo with you on that one! [msnwink]
If you're going anywhere near Siesta Lago, you have to check out Rack Room Shoes over the other side of the 192. Along with Shells, further along the 192, it's been there since our second visit to Florida when we stayed at Chatham Park (that was in 1995).

Can confirm lights still not working on Poinciana / Oren Brown, but not far off now, hopefully.
Glad to hear about the lights - that junction used to be a bit hairy [msneek]

We have been staying on Creekside and Country Creek for some years now, whenever we travelled down Bass road we wondered where all the cars where going when they turned right down Yowell Rd. One year we weren't able to get our usual villa so went to Indian Point instead.
Now we often follow others and cut through Indian Point onto the Poincianna Blvd to get to the restaurants further up the 192. We shop in the mall if that's what you'd call it where Rack Room is, mainly to visit DollarTree and Beals Outlet on a Monday.
Have also visited Shells years ago and found some unusual xmas tree ornaments there.
We went to Chatham Park in January 1998, so not so long after you, were going to go back there in the September but had to cancel as DH had to have a back operation and we weren't sure if he would be able to fly. Following February we found Country Creek and the rest as they say is history.
