One of the things I have loved in the last years visiting the is visiting the occasional Brewpub. Although I have visited the one in the Boardwalk, for some reason it just doesn't seem to have the atmosphere or menu of a good brewpub.

Can anyone give any recomendations for one[?]

Many thanks,

Euan

What's a brewpub MTP? I'm guessing they brew on the premises?

I think thas what he means, we have a few round here that have a special agreement to brew
on the promises, normally means a cheaper pint as they dont have massive overheads

Reminds me of my student days in London frequenting the Firkin group of pubs round the capital who all brewed on the premises (it was very rare to do this at that time). We had many a happy night out :D

The ones round here that still do it, were originally built along the Canals in the late 1700's
and were given some warrant ?? to brew their own, 200 years later they still can but only a
few do which is a shame.

Whereabouts is that Chris?

Not sure if you know Yeading, its about 6 miles from Heathrow and built on the side of the
Grand union canal, I actually live in a Marina that was built up when the old brickworks
closed down.

They are trying to revive the canals, but its a hard struggle. I love living here and wouldnt
move, well might if the infamous 3rd runway gets the go ahead :(:(

Exactly right, part of the revival of microbreweries in the US. They are now quite comon in the New England area, aslo in Arizona, and the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas has one on the premises. I don't know that the beer is necessarily cheaper, just you usually get a nice selection of quality pints. Two good examples in Boston are John Harvards Brew House (this is the first one I visited in America, when travelling on our honeymoon, it was the first time that I became aware of the microbrewery scene (sorry can't think of a better word)) www.johnharvard.com, another good example is Cambridge Brewing Co. www.cambrew.com. The list that I have found for Orlando so far is:
Beach Brewing
Mill Brewery Bakery and Eatery
5905 South Kirkman Road
Hops Grill and Bar at University
11448 University Boulevard
Hops of Florida Mall
848 Sand Lake Road
Mill Eatery and Brewery
12289 University Boulevard
Shipyard Brewing
Delta Airlines Concourse
1 Airport Boulevard
Big River Grill & Brewing Works
Boardwalk http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/waltdisneyworld/resorts/restaurants/featuredrestaurantindex?id=BWIBigRiverGrilleAndBre wingWorksRest

I don't want to appear like a beer anorak, but I have just found that brewpubs tend to be quite family friendly, with a good menu and a nice atmosphere. Except for the microbrewery in Sedona, Arizona. It is quite fantastic, basically a small warehouse with a rough bar in it, the brewing machinery all around you, an area outside with plastic patio furniture, limitless popcorn on tap and quite fantastic beers.

Sorry John/Sarah, I took so long composing my reply that a few others have been posted, so the opening line doesn't really make sense (do any of my postings[?]:D).

When you come out of heathrow you hit the M4 roundabout, if you took it and headed
towards london, then took the next junction No3. Turn left or head north (american way)
take a A312 and about 4 miles you get to where I live
