As far as I was aware you could use a laptop on any flight, but only certain seats will give you access to a power supply.
I don't think the Wi-Fi connection would be up to much though [msnwink]

Lots of aircraft do not have many power points in economy. You would stand a better chance of getting a power point in premium economy I would think.
Most websites have a seating plan of their aircraft with the power points marked; or phone and ask for seating by a power point.
I suggest you check with the airline, not all cabins are equipped for lap tops and it varies between airlines and aircraft types.
My husband always uses his lap top on flights but often has to rely on battery power which keeps him unsociable for most of the flight [V]
Have a great trip.
P.S Many villas now offer free high speed internet connection for your lap top as well as free local and international phone calls [msnwink]
Most charter flights we have been on allow the use of laptops during the flight (but not during take offs and landings, and they also ask that the wireless connection facility on the laptop is switched off). Also most charters do not have laptop power connection, certainly in economy.
I use mine mainly for watching DVD films during the flight, using battery power and carry a spare charged battery.
