Hi All,
Hope you are all well & enjoying the British Summer..!!
I was looking through the book "Brits Guide to Orlando" & noticed on the "bar-chart" which dispays the busy park days against months,it appears there is a big peak at the end of November (which I realise is Thanksgiving Week) but also a small peak around the second week in November.
Is this because of Remembrance Day..?
Just wondering if anyone knows if the parks get busier on Remembrance Day weekend (I believe Remembrance Day is Sunday 11th November this year)
With this in mind,we are looking to book up Discovery Cove (swim with dolphins)
Can anyone suggest a good day to book this..?
(are holiday dates are Nov 6th to Nov 20th)
Many thanks in advance,
Kev
Hi Kev,
You can check on the Discovery Cove website which dates are available during your stay. They limit the numbers allowed so it is best to book early.

As they limit the numbers, you don't have to worry about busy days there, just getting booked. Keep an eye on their website and book as soon as the dates come available. You are able to use your seaworld and/or Busch garden tickets before your DC day, so I would plan it with a few days to get over the jet lag first, so you can really enjoy yourselves. Don't forget to visit the avairy first thing, so you can feed all the birds...Just amazing :D
We were in Florida last year for Veterans Weekend and it was a bit busier than normal but still one of the quieter times of the year. I don't know if you are planning to go to Epcot but it may be worth checking when the Food & Wine Festival is in November as this is also a busy time in that particular park. Last year it actually closed over Veterans Weekend - we were there on the Sunday and it was really busy but also a great atmosphere.
We are back the same week this year so you can tell we enjoyed it!

We were there this year on Veterans Day weekend (May) and never noticed a big difference. The Rememberance weekends (November) that I remember in the past have just been normal.

I think you mean Memorial Day, last Monday in May. Veterans Day is indeed November 11th [msnwink]

Thanks Rose, having a senior moment, it's only a few weeks away;) I watched the parade on tv a couple weeks back, and remember thinking it was the exact same format as our parades etc in November and it was all quite sad.

Hi Kev,
We were at Magic Kingdom on Veterans weekend last year and it was a nightmare. People packed in like sardines and you could not change direction. Had to queue for hours to get something to eat then 'hover' round tables to be able to sit down to eat it.
Discovery Cove would be a great idea for that weekend as mentioned previously, because they limit numbers to ensure you have the most relaxing and memorable day ever.
