Do you need a special ticket to enter universal studios on new years eve ? and what time should we arrive to be sure of entry ?

thanks

No a normal ticket suffices. Last year we arrived at 2pm and got in OK but I would say in the morning and the earlier the better. Trouble is, it makes it a long day and you are dead on your feet by midnight.

I'd recommend that you go early to make sure that the park doesn't get full - you can then get your handstamped and leave to chill out in ther afternoon before returing for the New Year festivities.

I tried going to Disney once for New Year and we all grouchy by midnight as we had been there for 15 hours!

We've got into universal at 3 - 4 pm in the afternoon without any trouble on NYE.

When we used to visit the parks on NYE, we used to go first thing (to ensure entry), leave around lunchtime/early afternoon for a couple of hours around the pool and then return late afternoon. I agree with Julie that it's a really long day otherwise.

I'm thinking about going to Universal for New Year....we have never been in Orlando that time of year before...we always went home after Christmas.....

I think we will be there this New Year as well. They have bands on and street entertainment as well as the ususl rides. And a really good firework display!!

Is Universal the recommendation for NYE then?? As opposed to IOA or Disney?? We have a 12 yr old and 14 yr old with us.
