We're flying to Orlando with Virgin Atlantic in June, and were wondering which planes were being used out of Gatwick at the moment (ie plane type, name and entertainment system if possible).
I know this has been asked a few times before, but I can't find any recent threads on this subject.
Thanks in advance[msnsmile2]

I find they vary greatly. They are all Jumbo's with the 3-4-3 seat configuration in the economy area. Sometimes you get a newish plane with the entertainment system that includes games and other times you get planes that are well past their sell by date.
In february going out the plane was terrible, only the old entertainment system ans 2 out of 3 of our screens were faulty. The plane had definately seen better days. Coming home we had a newer plane, much cleaner with the new entertainment system. However 1 screen out of 3 didn't work and 1 of the other screens kept changing channels on its own.
IMHO Virgin are letting things slip a bit.
We are going with BA in August so will see if thats any better.

Chris this is the most recent stats I have for Gatwick, although it can change daily and there are no guarantees.
Sun 1st Barbarella
Mon 2nd Hot Lips
Tues 3rd Hot Lips
Wed 4th Jersey Girl
Thurs 5th Hot Lips
Frid 6th Ruby Tuesday
Sat 7th Hot Lips
Sun 8th Hot Lips
Mon 9th Ladybird
Tues 10th Hot Lips
All the aircraft are 747-400s, and with the exception of Ruby Tuesday and Ladybird they have the SuperNova entertainment system with no games.
Ruby Tuesday and Ladybird have the Odyssey entertainment system with games.
The above stats are for the VS27. If you want others I'll point you in the right direction.
