[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there,

We're in Florida for 3 weeks next August:). We've not booked our villas yet but are planning to split our time between Orlando (2 weeks) and the Gulf coast(1 week). I've seen a Town house in Sabal Key, Bradenton Sarasota and was wondering if anyone knows this complex or area. We're a family of 4, two boys aged 14 and 11. We want somewhere relaxing but also access to decent restaurants etc. We would also like to know about the facilities on site and also how far it is to the beach/ town centre etc. Would also welcome comments on other areas worth looking at

Hi Mel
Sounds like it will be an amazing Holiday,great combination.
With regards to the townhouse,if it was on the internet you would probably be wiser to email the owner and ask direct about the facilities etc.Most owners are only too happy to tell you all about their houses and answer any questions you may have.:)

Hi Mel, why don't you put our a request for homes on www.orlandovillas.com and www.villasflorida.com , and see what villas with their own pool are available for your dates, both on the Gulf and in Orlando:)

Mel... I own a property on Sabal Key so can answer some of your questions. Sabal Key shares the adjacent Sabal Harbour community leisure facilties which include a pool, tennis courts, barbecue area, basketball area etc. The pool is large, with a seperate kiddies areas. Loungers etc are provided. Well kept and 5-10 minutes walk from all Sabal Key houses. All Sabal Key properties are townhouses. Beaches at either Sarasota or Bradenton Beach are 30 -40 mins drive depending on traffic. Plenty of good restaurants locally plus three supermarkets, post office, library, 24 hour Walmart and numerous smaller shops all within 10 minutes drive. The community is quite and on the whole well maintained by a professional company with automatic watering etc. All the properties have been built within the last 4 years or so and the HOA association ensures that the rules in place designed to keep the community neat and tidy are enforced. We have had our place there since it was built and love it. If you have any other questions then please get in touch

Kind regards John

Mel,
there's quite a bit of infomation on the Gulf in this section:
http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums/forum_74.asp

A lot of the villas are only 10 minutes or less from some stunning beaches and even closer to some fantastic reataurants.

As Ruth said it would be worth putting an enquiry out to Gulf villa owners via the link above.
