Yes!!!!!!! I paid $1400 ( annual premium) a couple of weeks back. Loads higher than you would have paid in the UK for the same vehicle.

If you don't mind me asking Julie, is that with a clean license and some no claims bonus? - rates in the UK are through the roof on what thehy were a few years back

Did you mean car rental insurance for your Florida holiday by any chance Kay9jess? Like CDW, PAI, etc?

If so, if you look at the link to the OV.com car rental website, everything you need is included in the cost of the car rental price.

That's less than we pay here Chrizzy - for 2 cars (both 7 years NCD & only named drivers over 25) we pay about £800. If I wanted to include a learner it would be about another £400+

We have a 4 year old Grand-am two door coupe.....and a saturn two door coupe I think thats 9 years old....we've had the Grand-am from new....thats why we have full comp....for the loan.......and we are named drivers on my daughters Ins ....so we can drive her truck...she pays around $1400 for her chevy blazer ...but thats around 10 years old.....

Chrizzy. We are moving to Florida early next year and would be interested in who you have your car insurance with.

"We have a 4 year old Grand-am two door coupe" - I think your insurance is fairly cheap! - I used to have a kit car built on a Grand-am chasis and it could sure move (fibreglass body and V6 engine always gives for interesting acceleration):D
