This show is well worth the wait. It's a 3-D effect film with live effects like when it looks like water is coming towards you and you are actually squirted with water!

The ending is the best bit...I won't spoil the surprise other than to say watch out for your seats :).

Totally agree. However, our then 3yr old was very frightened as it is in complete darkness and also the bugs being in 3D probably looked a bit scary to her, but it was very funny and would recommend the wait.

Out 3 year old kept telling us it was only 'tend (pretend) so it was ok and not to worry.

This was after he had been in the Haunted Mansion at the Magic Kingdom twice earlier in the day!

This is a great show. When you're in the "pre-show" area, don't forget to read the posters on the wall. They are extremely clever.

This attraction is located inside the trunk the fantastic Tree of Life with its carvings ( actually I thnk its concrete so it should be mouldings but it looke like real wood!!!!) of the different animals. Just see how many you can count!!! There is every creature imaginable and some are "hidden" so only apparent when pointed out. This makes even the queuing area a joy. The tree also makes a fantastic photograph.

This was the first thing we went on in Animal Kingdom or Disney when we went in November 2000.

We loved it as did our son. My mum thought this was lovely as well as she doesn't like "scary" rides and things.

We seemed to compare all the other motion rides and 3D rides to this one though and nothing else matches up in all of Disney unless I missed one!!!

As well as the 'surprise' end bit, you need to be sitting back in your seat. My husband and my 11 year old son, were so engrossed they were sat forward in their seats, and, in my opinion, missed one of the best bits. But there are quite a few 'best bits'!!!

We'll just have to go back again !! Oh Dear

I have an embarrassing confession to make! Despite having been to AK twice, I havn't actually been in to see (should I say 'experience'?!) Its' tough to be a bug. By the sounds of things I've been missing out on a real treat and will have to plan another trip ASAP!!!

Went this Easter Sunday - fab day out, have made comments on the Florida Guide. However, my 4 year old freaked out at this show, certain things fall from the ceiling, (which I don't remember previously but that could be my age)and that was the final straw. She is a bit of a scaredy cat and only decided the characters weren't going to eat her alive this year, but just a word of warning in case your kids are like mine.

If your children aren't 'bug friendly' then I would think twice, particularly the under 8's. There is a lot to take in.

For us adults it was great, you could appreciate the special effects and knew it wasn't real, but when the show started it was hard to distinguish what was special effects and what was babies and children screaming !! They all seemed to start at once!

A warning before you go in would be useful for parents to make an informed choice.

There's not a lot of shade at AK-so this is a nice one to do when the sun is at its hottest as it's is nice and cool -even the queue taking you around the tree roots offers some shade.

We're off to Animal Kingdom tomorrow (and Epcot) and will definitely be doing this show again - our 3 year old loves it (his favourite ride is the Haunted Mansion in the Magic Kingdom) but I can see how it might frighten some children.

We've just returned from Animal Kingdom today and our 3 yer old was quite frightened by this show this time.

If you have oldr children then this is an excellent show not to be missed. It's even better the second time as you get to see the bits you missed first time round

Isn't it funny how children change? I've only seen this show once, so after what you've said I'm desperate to see it again. We're back in August, don't even ask why we're going in August!!! :)

Ask away Paula - it's because of my job, I work in an EBD school, so tied to school hols (only until I win the lottery!!). Otherwise I'd be there for Halloween and first week in November, my fav time in Florida!

Hey Kerry - when are you going in August? We're there 12th to 28th Aug (unless I can rent a week of that and disappear to the Keys as a substitute!) You don't have an 11 year old who is threatening to die of boredom just being on hol with his parents do you??? We have!!! :)

Totally agree, our 4 year loves this one and is not frieghtened one bit. We try to put her back in the seat for the stinging bit and then stand her up for the bugs to leave the room first, she loved it.
