Me again - all set to fly on Sunday to Crescent Lakes. Have been wondering about shopping and where the best malls are - don't want to miss out on a bargain.

Be grateful for any advice

Hi Lisi

We found lots of quality bargains at The Premium Outlets.
There is apparently over 20 different malls in the Orlando area plus at least another 5000 specialist shops!
You can shop til u drop:D

We found the Florida mall was great, not far past Gatorland Zoo on the right, but as said
there are some off the 192 which are nearer

Have a great time

Hi Lisi

If you like shopping then Orlando is the place to be.

From 8 years of experience and bargain hunting, I would strongly recommend the Premium Outlet, just south of Seaworld on International Drive, you will need several trips as they change / update the stock on a regular basis. Score 9 out of 10.

The Belz at the North End of International Drive is ok - but not as good as it used to be. Score 6 out of 10.

The Florida Mall is more a kin to Lakeside Thurrock in the UK and is very good for Department Stores and general run of the mill shopping. Score 9 out of 10.

The Mall of the Mallenia, just north of the Belz is Designer Shopper Heaven, but unless there is a sale on at the time, there are not that many bargains, in fact a shirt in Zara was more expensive in Orlando than Regent Street London :((. Score 7 out of 10.

That said the Mall of the Mallenia is a great place to shop and worth a visit, just for the Cheese Cake Factory if nothing else. :D

There are of course various other Outlets and Shops all across southern Orlando, so you won't be short of places to visit.

Have fun.

I'd second the comment about the Cheescake Factory DMC - it's our favourite restaurant in Orlando (and in Chicago too :D).

Just to add another to the list - Lake Buena Vista Shops on SR535. Some of the shops are the same as at Belz, but I've noticed some cheaper prices. The shops are open-air and although they don't have quite the same feel as Mercado (on I-Drive which, when I last went, had more places to stop and "rest"), I think it's worth a visit.

If you see any really fantastic bargains, snap them up! When we went to Lake Buena Vista Shops in May, one of the shops had a fantastic leather jacket at 60% of the sale price (it was about $50)- when I went back the next day to buy it, it was back up to it's normal sale price! Gutted :(

Have lots of fun [8D]
