A couple of questions please.

Do villas have to be booked from Saturday to Saturday. The reason I'm asking is that we'd like to go late June but if we travel say on a Wednesday then the flights are cheaper.

Also for end June beginning of July 2008 for 3 weeks how far advance would I have to book. I may not be able to confirm my dates until mid May.

Also do you think there would be a discount for a 3 week rental.

I've not been in this site for ages but I know from past experience how helpful and full of information it is.

Many thanks in advance for any advise and guidance you can give me.

Hi,
some owners preffer sat to sat bookings many do not mind week day bookings. Book as far in advance as you can. If you have seen a villa you like, check with the opwner if tehy will hold the dates for you until you can firm up in may.
Each owner sets their own rates, good quailty homes may be reluctant to discount as they book out without any problems. From experience you gets what you pay for:D

Certainly many of us do bookings other than weekends and usually find this does not cause a problem.
With regard to booking, it might be a bit more difficult to find a specific villa available for a 3 week period as June and July are popular months, especially if you have to leave it till May. Book as soon as you can.
With regard to discount, I don't think you can rely on this although some owners will do so. As Martin says on the whole you get what you pay for!
Good luck.

Many owners will take mid week bookings - I for one certainly do. As for discounts for 3 weeks, this depends on the owners. I do offer a small discount for booking of 3 weeks and over, but some owners do not.
As you require 3 weeks it would be best to book in advance. As long as you have a rough idea of your dates, you can probably reserve a villa now. Also you may find that you will be able to book at slightly cheaper rates than waiting until next May.

I think most owners take midweek bookings but certainly not all. I would book just as soon as you can as these months are very busy.
Enjoy choosing your villa

I agree with Martin in that find a villa you like and book it asap. As prices tend to rise (in line with owners costs), by booking early you may find the price has gone up by the time you travel. Once you have booked, the price is fixed.

Have a good trip.

For those of us who have mainly British guests mid week bookings are much more popular than weekend ones as the costs of flights are so much more at weekends. Like many others we tend to put our prices up as we get more weeks booked and as price increases for utilities feed into our budgets and so the early booking tends to pay off. There are some travel agents who get access to flights before they go on general release and so this can also help with your planning. When people do book well in advance we tend to allow some flexibility until the flights have been booked so this is also worth bearing in mind. I hope you have fun planning your trip

I would suggest like most other owners that you reserve the villa asap for June & July. We are fully booked for June and July this year and one of the bookings is for 3 weeks which was booked June 2006. We also already have a 3 week booking for May 2008. We too give a small discount for bookings of 3 weeks and more.

Hi Helen

I would book as soon as you possibly can. We are going out May 2008 for a 3 week stay and we have had our villa booked since last July (06). It's never too early to book your villa [msnsmile]

Hi Helen

As most have already said, most villa owners don't mind mid week bookings and I would look at booking sooner rather than later for you holiday. A number of enquiries are already coming through for next year and you do not want to miss out as June and July are very popular months.

Have fun browsing the beautiful villas which are available :D

Hi Helen,

As most people have said, June/July/Aug are popular months and I for one already have a booking in for the first two weeks of the summer school hols for 2008. If you are looking for 3 weeks you should be considering booking now as you will always get flights for your dates but you may not have the same availability with villas if you leave it too late to book. Booking mid-week is usually not a problem with most owners, myself included. Gill

Hi,

It is really dependant on the villa owner. Some prefer Sat - Sat, other don't mind and book midweek. This helps get cheaper flights etc. I would def book as early as you can, this will give you more choice. Villas get booked up for peak dates anything up to 2 years in advance. I know that some of the best villas on these sites get enquiries well in advance.

Good luck

What a great bunch of people you are. [clap]

All great advise so I'd better get my thinking cap on as to what we'd like as regards our villa. We've been 4 times now and have stayed in Lindfields and Westridge so we know what to expect with the very high level of villas in that area. Many thanks indeed for all your help.
I'll be back soon I hope. Thanks again. [msnsmile2]

Hi again, is there a form I can fill in detailing dates / requirements / location etc. I understand that there are forms that go to individual owners but is there a multi-post form. I'm sorry for all the questions but I do appreciate your help. Thanks. [msnsmile2]

Hi Helen,

If you go onto the 3 sister sites:-

http://www.orlandovillas.com
http://www.villasflorida.com
http://www.orlandovillarental.com

Go on to the "contact us" link at the top and a form will come up for you to enter your details/requirements. This form is automatically sent to all owners and those with availability who meet with your requirements will then e-mail you back with details.

Hope this helps and enjoy choosing your villa!
