Colunbus Day - Mon 8th Oct
United Nations Day - Wed 24th Oct
Halloween - Wed 31st October

Columbus day is a public holiday on 8 October 2007 but there are no scheduled school holidays in Florida at that time of year. May vary states by state.

Neil & Cathy are right. Only Columbus day in Oct is holiday for us.
