returning to florida in september 07 but this time with my two grandchildren (twins aged 5). was going to wait until they were a little older but couldn't put it off any longer.

we have opted for a villa rather than a suite but have yet to decide what community.

any tips?

Hello Alex and welcome to the forums. You will find a wealth on information on here to help plan your holiday.

All the villa communities are within a short 10 - 20 minute drive from the Disney Theme Parks, you should make a wish list of what you want in your villa and send out an enquiry to the sites listed above. When I say a wish list I mean the kind of things like community pool, gamesroom, private pool really anything that you would like.

For car hire I would look no further than the car hire advertised on this site.

The park tickets advertised on here are also great.

Hi Alex and welcome to the friendliest Florida forum on the t'internet

We joined here whilst organising our first trip and haven't looked back. Each time we have booked our villa and car hire through this site and have never had a problem.

With regard to hiring a villa we don't really think the community is much of an issue as they are all within a reasonable distance of the major attractions. Just make yourself a list of what you want from a villa - but bear in mind that this list will grow once you see what these amazing properties have to offer - then send out a general request for the dates that you are going. You will then get replies back from all of the owners on here that have a villa that is available, then just sit back and enjoy whittling it down until you have a short list. If you would like any info on the sort of things we always look for in a villa we rent then feel free to DM me.

As for car hire we have never managed to find it cheaper than through this site. We always hire a seven seater as it leaves masses of room for the luggage - especially for the return trip.

Happy planning

Welcome, I would suggest as others that you write a wish list then put out a general enquiry for the dates you are looking for. There are loads of great villas to choose from. You may decide that loaction is important and that could be dependant on where you plan to visit or what you plan to do while there. September is one of the quieter months so most places will be easy to drive to in a short time.

Hi,

Welcome to the forum, i'm sure you and your family will have a wonderful time whichever location you decide upon. I can understand exactly how you feel about wanting to make this trip a holiday of a lifetime. We have managed to persuade my parents to come with us for the first time this Easter, and although we have visited the parks previously there is nothing more exciting than going with people who have never experienced it before.

My children can't wait to show them everything :)

With regard to car hire, we have used the car hire advertised on this site many times and have always had first class service and have always found them to be reasonably priced.

Have a great time !

One other quick tip with regards to car hire is to make sure you have the paper part of your driving license with you (and a photocopy backup in a separate case). They will ask for this when you go to pick up your vehicle.
