If you are over there at the beginning of March. The Florida Strawberry festival is something you may want to consider, if you are looking for something away from the theme parks.
There is a great concert series which is part of it with arists such as LeAnn Rimes and Kenny Rogers and Hootie and The Blowfish.
Its in Plant City.

Don't you just love the fact that there is always something more to do each time you go Jacqui?
Florida is a place of many surprises. I love to keep a list of the things that will appeal to my generation because when people just hear about Florida on the Television they get a very narrow view of what is there. Don't get me wrong I still love the theme parks but there is sooo much more.

do you have the dates the strawberry festival is on and also can you tell me how far away is plant city from orlando

1st till 11th March...Plant City is off the I4 on the way to Tampa, so probably 30 mins from H27

Angela, I love the real Florida and really like things like this. It's nearly time for the Gator cookoff too:D

This sounds great fun. Hope we are out there at that time. Waiting for daughter to have her leg out of plaster and son and family going to live in China for a year so we cannot go back to the villa till they are all sorted out.
