Hi to everyone. We will be traveling on june 5, 2007 to Disney for the 1st birthday celebration of my little boy. The thing is that we want to rent a house, villa or something for the two weeks that we'll be staying. Any tips about which are the best areas (address) that we could stay near Disney?????? We are looking for a 8-10 people houses or villas. Can anyone help me???? Thanks for your cooperation.

Hi Roberto
Many of the resorts and communities have easy access to Disney. Most are withing 15-20 minutes drive, some less, there are more than one entrances into Disney which expands the area you can stay and still be close.

Why not put out an enquiry on

You are making the right decision renting a house, have a good trip.

When you enter the Disney Parks go to Customer Information and tell them you are there celebrating your little ones FIRST BIRTHDAY and they will then give you a badge that will hopefully mean that when staff see this you will get greeted by them

HI Roberto
you will easily find a home near Disney - and check out location for the other theme parks such as Seaworld. Most communities are within easy reach and you should be able to pull up a map showing location when you do a search.
Have a great holiday.

I feel very excited for you!!
I have been taking my son since he was 6 months old -one or two tips - Personally I would go for a home within 5 miles of Disney -just so you can take him home for an afternoon nap if it is a hot day -and to give you a rest too! However, if he likes sleeping in the car, you may prefer a home further away!! Most provide cots etc now.
Get a portable battary op fan [they used to have them in Toys R Us] with a clip to attach to a buggy, to keep him cool if sleeping in situ, and take a damp facecloth with you to wipe him down -also plenty of wet wipes etc, and a change of clothes.
The changing areas provided by Disney are wonderful - the one in MK was my fave [behind Caseys Corner, net to Crystal palace] it was so peaceful and cool, and they had baby food, microwaves to heat up, changing tables with mobiles above, and ladies dressed like Mary Poppins to help -wonderful!!
Take lots of photos! It will bring him on so much, and so nice to have your own pool that is quiet for him to splash about in [with kiddy pool even better!!]

You could even pack a cheap paddling pool for him to sit in.

If you don't want to take your pushchair/pram you could either pick a villa that can provide it or pick one up for around $10 in Walmart...that would be cheaper than hiring them from the parks.
