Would just like to share these 3 restaurants which, yes have been spoken about on the forum before, but having just returned from Florida Dec 30th thought I would mention them while still fresh in the mind.

Houlihans - US192 heading towards US27 from Disney left hand side of carriageway. Fabulous Food

Carrabbas - US 192 heading towards US27 from Disney left hand side of carriageway Great Italian Food, a great alternative to Olive Garden

Both the above serve smaller portions than the standard USA size so easy on our UK tummies.

Manny's Chop House. <span style="color:purple"><span style="font-family:Comic Sans MS">WOW what an experience</span id="Comic Sans MS"></span id="purple"> US27 just outside Haines City. Extremely Busy Diner.

Both Manny's and Carrabbas are very busy diners with long queues.
Our tip is to phone them 30 - 45 mins before your arrival to put your name on the waiting list. It does work as you will only have to wait 10-15 mins to b seated instead of 45 -60 mins, both restaurants promote ringing first to add your name to the waiting list.

For those on the H27 rhere is also a Carrabbas on the H50 at Clermont. Fewer tourists!

If there are only 2 of you and you dont mind, you can sit at the counter to eat and watch the chefs at work at Carrabas. Be warned though, they give you samples of their cooking and by the time your meal arrives you are no longer hungry! It does save on the waiting time though if you havnt pre-booked a table.

I must try the other Carrabas at Clermont on our next visit.

Mannys I agree is good too. Wasnt that impressed with Houlihans service though.

We found Mannys extremely noisy but the food was good. Definately going back to Carrabbas, didn't know about the one on H50. Had a 50% refund at Houlihans as 2 out of 4 mains weren't very good.

Justs shows we all have different experiences.

We've just returned on 10th Jan, and visited Manny's 3 times whilst there. My husband and dad gave the steaks 10 out of 10 every time. Also went to Carrabas which we enjoy but find it really dark in there. Haven't yet tried Houlihans and kept meaning to as their breakfast buffet was only $3.99.

I love Houlihan but they don't do gluten free food for coeliacs[msncry]so we don't get to go there much.

Carrabbas on the other hand have a gluten free menu[msnwink]and the food is very good too[msntongue]

Manny's are on our to do list as we think they cater for coeliacs.

We tried the $3.99 breakfast at Houlihans, and as they say, you get what you pay for. It was terrible, huge queues, they ran out of food continuously and took 20 mins to bring out more, so you ended up with half a plate of cold food. Staff simply didn't care, and were obviously out of their depth trying to serve a buffet breakfast.

Wonder if it has improved since Christmas.

Steer clear of Carrabas unless you like food poisoning....:(

Another restaurant to try is Charlie's Steakhouse located on the 192. It is a bit more expensive than Carrabba's and Houlihans but the service and food are excellent. They even come around with a tray of raw selection of steak, just to illustrate what they look like before it gets to your table.

There were 2 Carabbas. One near marker 4 on the 192 and the other was near one of the shopping malls, but we went to so many I'm not sure which one it was[msnembarrased] possibly was the Mall at Millenia or premium outlets.

There is a Carrabbas up near the Millenia Mall but we couldn't find that one so plumped for the Cheesecake Factory

Was at Mannys AGAIN last night! Well worth the 30 minute drive and the 40 minute wait! EXCELLENT! and even Graham loves the salad bowl! Another good one is APPLEBEES on the 192 beside Sams Club - really good value for money and good steaks, salads, etc.,
