I-130 Petition through Brother

My brother (US citizen) filed the form I-130 in March and we have been monitoring the case number through the US Immigration website. We expect to hear something around the end of the year.

My question is, what happens next ? Presumably I have to go for interviews etc. Also any help with time scales would be appreciated.
