License Problems

Hi, we are flying out to Orlando on 9th November.

The car hire is in my name.Myself, my partner and my nice are all named drivers.

She has just told me that she applied for a photo driving license and when it arrived the paper part was incorrect. She has had to post it back and DVLA have told her she wont get a replacement before we leave.

My question is can she still drive the car with only the photo part of the license?

It is going to be a real pain in the butt if we have to do all the driving!

Strictly speaking, you have to have BOTH parts of the license, not only the paper part. If asked for both parts, and she only has the photo part then she may be refused to driver.

However, in most cases, Dollar only ask for the photo part. The best thing is for her not to even mention the paper part (ie dont hand over the photo part and say the paper part is not available as that would prompt the rep to query it).
