Car hire without a credit card

My son will be travelling to Orlando on the 3rd November. The hire car is already paid for but normally a credit card is requested when collecting the vehicle.

In his case he only has an Electron debit card and so I am concerned that he will encounter problems.

Any advice would be appreciated.

If he is on the Gold option, assuming with Dollar, and collecting from MCO then a credit card swipe is not taken. Other companies and locations will need a card swipe and in most cases Electron would not be accepted.
