can anyone tell me if a full size car will be big enough for 2 adults 2 teenagers and an 8 year old or should we get something bigger.

It depends how much luggage you will have and how far you will be driving. Personally I prefer a little more room and would opt for a 4x4.

I would recommend a 7 seater minivan as they have lots of space and many combinations of seating - always useful when you have children (of whatever age![msnwink]) as then there is no fighting over who sits where. These vans usually have stow and go so the seats fold flat into the floor which gives you even more space for all that extra lugage after you have been shopping!:)

I agree the 7 seater mini van (Chrysler Voyager) is such a great car and so easy to drive, we always use them in Florida, I also have one in the UK which is great for 2 adults, 2 children and a teenager[msnwink]

Another one in agreement with Ellie, we usually have the seven seater for the 4 of us......and we fill it[msnwink]

Gerry, you will get a great deal for car hire if you follow the link at the top of the page. The service is very good and no hidden extras.

Gerry,
7 seater for us: 4 adults and one 3 year old. Definately worth it.

My sister went to our villa 18 months ago and she had 2 adults and 3 teenagers and the car hire company would not let them have a full size as they it wasnt big enough for them. Then ended up with a 4x4.
Must admit if there is only the four of us we always hire a 7 seater.

Gerry,

We always get a Chrysler Grand Voyager (They are so good we bought one ourselves). With the rearmost seats stowed we can fit in the twins double buggy without collapsing it[msnsmile2] such a time saver,
so you would have no problems with your crew & their luggage [msnwink]. Plus plenty of room for the golf clubs[msnwink][msnwink].

I think it should be fine if you plan to do litle driving from the hotel to the restaurant and to the shoping centers. RN

We used to book a full size car for 5 of us with 2 adults, 1 teen and 2 younger children and didn't have a problem.

Since we bought the villa we have always hired a 7 seater, simply because we purchase items for the home and need the space, but I have to say after hiring the 7 seaters we love the space they offer and wouldn't got back to a full size car now!
