christmas / new year ideas

Hi everyone,
we are going to wdw 17 dec for 3 weeks.
we have a 4 + 12 year old,has anyone got good ideas for xams day + meal and new years eve.we are told m.k is very busy xmas day so we will give that a miss, it would be nicer to go where some thing nice is going on for the children without massive crowds.
Hope to hear from someone with tips.

Sorry that I cannot help in regards to somewhere quiet but our guests who went last Xmas had their meal at the Rennaisance near Seaworld and they raved about it. You will need to book in advance.
Have you tried the various park web sites or the various attraction sections on this forum?

Hi Kim,

The atmosphere in MK in New Year's Eve is fabulous - we were there last year, even though the whole thing got washed out due to the rain, but it was great (our kids were 4 years and 18 months old at the time). The only problem was getting in to MK. We tried about 5 pm and managed, but had to be slightly devious.

Another good thing is the Candlelit Processional in Epcot, and Mickey's Christmas Party. There are various postings about these things if you do a search on this site.
