everglades and naples tours???

Can anyone tell me whether you need to book these tours via tour operator (internet) or to wait until we get to Florida to book it with reps (Virgin)?.
Can you just drive to the Everglades and do a tour of them and Naples without having to go on a coach???
At the moment the cheapest price i can find for 6 is between £283 and £318.Many of these have "Shop till you drop" included, which i wouldn't want to do.
We go in 6 weeks and 1 day (not counting really..honestly[msnsmile2].
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

You can book an Everglades tour from www.park-tickets.com above. The cost is just $115 and it includes an
Airboat ride, a cruise on a multi-million dollar yacht in Naples and chance to relax on the beach in Naples lunch and breakfast included! Thurs & Sun only. Looks like this might suit you as it doesn't seem to do a shopping trip, much nicer to relax on the beach. You only pay a deposit too, with balance on the day. Take a look at the above site, they have lots of great days out as well as all the park tickets at briliant prices.
