Sushi?
my daughter is a big sushsi fan and we would like to take her to a japanese restaurant to try something a bit more authentic than tescos
however i'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to fish, personally i only enjoy mine battered from the local chippie[msnembarrased]
i have heard of a restaurant called Kobe, which offers other non sushi menu items especially for wimps like me, has anyone tried it and most importantly would you recommend it not only for the food but also as being suitable for children?
or are there any other places i could look at?
thanks for your help
mizzy
If it's the Kobe I'm thinking of then it's a steak house?
There's
Sushi House
1311 Florida Mall Ave
Orlando, FL 32809
I've DM'd you a link to their menu.
There's also
SEITO SUSHI JAPANESE RESTAURAN
( 407 ) 566 - 1889
671 FRONT ST,KISSIMMEE,FL,34747
I'm not a fan of sushi so I can't say I've tried either of them.
thanks Blott will pop off and have a look
the Kobe does do sushi as well as steaks
i've found it here www.kobesteakhouse.com
it looks ok but would like to know if anyone has tried it and would they recommend it
mizzy
We haven't tried it personally, but have been told it was very good.
Is it just sushi your daughter likes? If she likes different fish what about trying the Bonefish Grill, as it may be bit more palatable for you?
I love fish, Salmon, tuna, swordfish, monkfish etc but like you I'm not a huge fan of sushi.[msnwink]

I love to go into Seito's in Celebration. You can sit at the sushi bar and watch the chefs prepare. The staff are always very helpful when we go and the tempura is delicious so even if you don't want to be adventurous that is always available.

There is a Japanese place at the Berry Town Centre on 192, where the Publix is on Orange Lake Boulevard. Do not know anything about it.
Is Seito's a new restaraunt in Celebration as I don't recall having seen it before?

I love Sushi, infact I spent last Saturday in Yo Sushi in Harvey Nichs eating my way round the belt[:I]
The supermarkets also sell it also, I got my last lot in Publix. Places like the Boston Lobster feast also have a limited ammount. I went to the Japanese place on the dreaded I Drive and that was yummy, the name escapes me but you can have steaks etc too.
It's a myth that sushi is just all raw fish and you will find something to suit everyone if they like Asian type food and I am sure there will be something suitable for kids.
In the UK the best shop bought Sushi I have found away from the Japanese sources is the seafood Sushi in M&S, followed by the fish Sushi and the run of the mill stuff aint bad either!

Ray is in Japan this week and has had his first experience of Sushi, says it was much nicer than he had anticipated. Last night he went to a traditional restuarant where you sit on the floor said it was very hard to get up after a 2 hour meal.[msnwink][msnsmile2]
i've been checking out disney dining Sarah and in the wdw swan there is a restaurant called Kimonos which is a sit on cushions on the floor arrangement, it looks very nice but i think more of a grown ups sort of place and not really for kiddies
my dh reckons the positive side when sitting on the floor to eat is that when you get very drunk you don't have to worry about falling over[msnoo]
the Seito Sushi restaurant at celebration looks really nice Blott so thanks for that
Mizzy
We always go to Kobe when we are over. The food is very good, and cooked in front of you. You can order sushi (or something else) as your starter which is served to your table, then you have some clear soup. The chef will then take your oder for seafood, steak, chicken or whatever and cook it in front of you along with fresh veg, rice and noodles - yum - the chefs are usually very entertaining too. The is a Kobe on the 192.

May give this a try on our next visit Dawn, as Ray now works for a Japenese company he had better find a taste for Japenese food.[msnwink][msnsmile]
