We are visiting Florida during February next year. During our stay it is or daughter's 17th Birthday, we were wondering if it is possible to organise some sort of driving experience for her. Does anyone have any ideas?

I would imagine most of the proper driving experiences would rely on you having a drivers license for insurance reasons. I don't think I've seen any aimed at younger drivers but I would guess something like the Richard Petty drivers experience may let you ride with a driver as not everyone can drive?

She's too young for the driving experience but she could do the ride along experience.

Driving Programs Age Requirements = At Walt Disney WorldŽ Speedway and Daytona International Speedway you must be at least 18 years old with a valid drivers license and at all other tracks be at least 16 years old with a valid drivers license to participate in our diving experiences.

- Ride-Along Programs Age Requirements = At Walt Disney WorldŽ Speedway and Daytona International Speedway you must be at least 16 years old and at all other tracks be at least 14 years old to participate in our Riding Experiences.

For the ride along, here's some info.

Highlights: Experience real life racing thrills by riding shotgun in a 2-seat stock car driven by one of our professional instructors for a simulated 3-lap NASCAR qualifying run at speeds exceeding 150 MPH. The Ride-Along program is operated at over 20 locations and starts one hour after the start of each driving class.

The ride along is on a first come, first served basis and you can't book it so you need to get there as soon as it opens (to make sure you're first in the queue!).
