Just called Renaissance as I couldn't remember the time I'd booked Thanksgiving brunch. Glad I did as they say that all brunches have been cancelled until the end of the year because of renovations.

When I made the booking they did say that the Atrium was being renovated but brunch would be in another room (can't remember which).

I would have been extremely unhappy if we'd arrived on Thanksgiving and were turned away!!!

Thats awful Sue, did they not have a contact number or e-mail address for you? What about all the people that are going to turn up on the day. They will be very angry[msnmad]

To be honest Jackie I can't remember if I gave a contact no. or email address. And I agree, if I wasn't so forgetful we would have arrived hungry and left very angry :(.

Any suggestions as to where else to eat ????

Have had a lovely meal at The Gaylord Palms, lots of restaurants to choose from, we tried The Old Hickery Steakhouse, Lovely[msntongue]

I had better ring them as we have booked for Christmas Day and were informed it would be in the Crystal room instead! I will post my findings.

We have been told by another Florida visitor that Christmas lunch has been cancelled too.[msnsad]

No response (yet again) to my telephone call of yesterday. I have now emailed and had an automated response saying the matter will be followed up in 3-5 working days! If we hadn't been before and know how good it is I wouldn't bother on the basis of their customer service!

Success of sorts: I have had a reply. Renaissance Christmas Day brunch HAS been cancelled due to renovation works. Thanks very much Susan for the original post as I had booked for 14 people so would not have been happy if we had turned up on the day! Who knows when/if they would have let me know.
Now the big dilemma is where to book instead.
