Hands up how many of you in the UK watched James Bond fly Little Nellie last night? :)

I was reminded by my hubby that the public can meet this elegant lady this weekend at the annual Wallis Days. Ken Wallis (Wing Co retired) was the man who designed built and flew Little Nellie. Each year the gyrocopter fraternity have a fly in at Shipdham airfied, near Derham in Norfolk. Anybody is welcome to go along, watch the gyros and best of all you can get the bus over to Ken Wallis's home to view Little Nellie and all his other gyros.

I once met Ken Wallis and took some lovely photos of LN. Imagine my horror, not to mention hubby's anger when we got home and discovered there was no film in the camera.[:I][:I]

It's a good day out if anybody fancies gyro. You can view some photos from last year's event at http://www.kiss400.com/galleries/wallisdayjuly2002/

To find out the exact location of the airfield go to

and click on the airfield information link.

Unfortunately I will be working but hubby will be going there.

Don't like to diapoint you Sunshine State, but the fly in was held in August. Ifyou fancy going next year I can always keep you updated as to when it is being held.

have just had to help hubby put a similar gyro on the trailer ready to take down to Henstridge airfield to do his usual weekend flying. Didn't realise the garage was so large without the gyro in it.:D

Sounds great Jacqui!

Flying every weekend - wish that was me - I'm only managing once a month at best at the moment - I need to give up the day job so I have more time to enjoy myself :D.
