am wishing to arrange a holiday for November next year (2007) not done this before what comes first....villa then plane then car rental or alternative ? any help appreciated ..

I would definately look for your villa first, as the longer you leave it you may not be able to choose the one you would like, also Thanksgiving is in November which is a very popular time. If you are going to book directly with the airline, many do not release seats more than 365 (or thereabouts) days in advance.

Just compile a "wish list " of what you and your family want, put an enquiry onto the links and you will be amazed at the choice you will get , but as Dawn says a good idea to start with the villa so that you can get the exact dates you need well in advance. You can then get your flights and car sorted. Any other help you need is right here on the forum !!

Hi TK, agree with Dawn above,you may like to check which days the airline flies from your local airport,usually Thursday Friday and Saturday are the most popular days for charters with most scheduled going every day, November is quite popular so the sooner you decide to book the better as you will get a better choice. Good luck in your search for a nice villa there are many on these excellent sites.

I would have a look at options for villas and flights first then send out some enquiries to which villas you like. Flights go from main airports every day although the price can vary accordingly. All the links on the sites listed above will give you great choices with sensible prices.

I would choose the villa first as November is often booked up early due to Thanksgiving. It's too early yet to get flight prices for Nov 07 but you could be looking at airport options, whether you want direct or connecting etc.
For the Florida airport most people use either Orlando International or Sanford - but don't rule out Tampa - we often use it and find it quieter and quicker to get through.
By starting this early you should be able to get just what you want - good luck!

We used to go in November and found it difficult to get flights in the first week even though we would book them when they first came out. Ist November is when the prices start to drop, we would either go 7th or 8th or if we really wanted the first week we had to put the date forward to 30th October.

We always fly scheduled from Gatwick.

We always book our flights first. This is because we like to fly from Aberdeen as we live only five minutes from the airport and our flight options are a bit limited . So I like to know that I can definitely get flights with only one stop-over at a reasonable price before I book a villa. As long as your fairly flexible with villa location I'm sure you'll find something to suit as long as you don't leave it too late.

I would advise before confirming or reserving a villa is to check out if villa is availble for dates requested when you find a villa you feel you would like to rent can ask villa owner if will hold for a few days for you to check out flights, most villa owners will do that. Or can check flights first for dates requested ask travel agent to hold say for 48hrs, then check out villas for dates requested and see if one is available.
