Hi, having been to Orlando a few times before using hotels, we are hiring a villa for our next visit in Oct/Nov 04. Our question is, whether to ask for the pool to be heated or not. Can anyone advise us?

All depends on the weather but I would say prbably not. Mind you if they ahve a jacuzzi then heating is nice anytime.

Me too. I would definitely have the pool heated for October/November. For the minimal extra cost it is just so lovely to be able to get into a warm pool first thing in the morning, or anytime for that matter!! I am certainly not hardy enough to swim in a cold pool!!! :D:D:D

It's a holiday, not an endurance test!! :D:D

We always go the last 2 weeks of October into November (half term!!) and we also always have the pool heat on - way too cold for me otherwise:D

We'll be in our place then and our pool heating will most definitely be on.

I'm a complete wimp, so I usually have pool heating on! The pool turns into a big bath and it's lovely . . . . .[8D]

The heating would be on for us too. Martin must be made of sterner stuff than us ladies:D

I agree, pool heating is a must at that time of year!

Don't forget Martin has the benefit of living there we have to get acclimatised, and there are less hours of sunshine/daylight in October/November to warm the pool, it depends on the level the temp drops to when the sun goes down as to how warm it's going to stay and if you've been to the park till 6 and then want to come home for a swim it might feel chilly otherwise.

I am going mid to end September and am told I won't need pool heating but I did wonder too. Hope it will be warm enough but what do you think?

I was in my pool last September (middle of month) and it was lovely and warm without the pool heating being on, Lisi. You still get a lot of sunshine hours in September. :D:D

Great Gillian - you have convinced me and I'll save the money which is a bit tight as I had not planned to have to find accommodation anyway! Do you know what the temperature will be mid September?
