Anybody wanting to take home some alcohol should try going into the ABC Liqueor stores. Very reasonable prices, better than some of the duty free prices. We bought a 1.75 litre (yes I was surprised as well) of Vodka for just under $12. Another plus side was that all the larger bottles from 1 litre upwards came in plastic bottles. We'd been told that we weren't going to allowed to take anything glass on the plane so this was brilliant. This was just after the terrorist attack so I don't know if the same rules apply now.

PS They also sell Red Bull there but it's still just as expensive as it is in the UK
