Hello,

We've decided to take a family holiday in Florida for the first time. We've only made the decision recently - and decided on the first 3 weeks in April 2007 (we're restricted somewhat by UK school calender).

I'm looking for a 3 bedroom villa, in a quiet area, not too overlooked and a nice size pool. My initial enquiries haven't been too fruitful with many of my choices already booked up.

I'm seriously thinking about abandoning the exercise for next year and doing it in 2008 so we can get nice accomodation.

Does anybody think (a) I'm being too fussy and there's lots of nice villas [msnwink] or (b) I've missed the boat for next year and book up for 2008 [msncry].

Hi GP,
I think you'll find there will be alot more choice in 4 bed villas. Most of the newer developments are 4 or 5 bedroom homes.

Flight prices from the U.K. seem to be more reasonable with greater competition between airlines & the £ is holding quite strongly which is another good reason to go ahead & book.

It's true they do get booked up for peak times quickly , we had last years guests book for next year as soon as they got back ! but I'm sure you will find something on one of the sites [msnsmile2]

I am sure you will find something from the three sites. But like the above have said, Easter seems to get booked early. Good luck with your search. [msnsmile2]

As one of the people who was already booked for 2007 my vote must be for 2008.[msnwink]

Have you thought about having a week at the Gulf Coast and 2 weeks in Orlando? That would be my choice if I am ever fortunate enough to have 3 weeks holiday at one time and that week you get a restful week to recharge your batteries.

Just thinking that it may open up more villas with availability for just 2 weeks rather than 3, and there are some beautiful villas on the gulf coast if you put in a search on the 3 sites.

Just a thought:)

Easter is usually regarded as the most requested time of the year, and as a result, villas are often booked up over a year in advance.

Our villa has been booked for Easter 2007 for over 14 months, and we are currently receiving tentative enquiries for Easter 2008.

So it's never too early to start looking...

Have fun choosing. :)

I wish I could say the same, but hey ho,

I agree with Diane. We always split our time in Florida between Orlando and the Gulf Coast[8D]

Two years ago we did a three centre holiday in Florida, on week on the Gulf coast at a wonderful villa, a week in Orlando at our own place and then a week in the Keys, it was a fantastic holiday and meant we had plenty of time for relaxation too.[msnsmile2]
