This was recomended to us by our friends in Orlando.

It is just past the Florida Mall on Sand lake road going towards the airport. It is on the left.

Although the name suggest pottery, it has a lot of interesting things for the home e.g. pictures, linen, floral arrangements, pottery, baskets, curios etc. etc. Ideal for buying things to enhance the decor of the villa. Their prices are very reasonable.

Has anyone been to this store?

We went at Christmas, loads of decorations and great prices, really recommend it.

Looks like this is on the list of places to go when I've dropped Chris off at the golf course!

My daughters have to be prized out of the Florida Mall, so it could be interesting actually getting there.

We also have this tremendous knack for getting lost - when Chris is not in the car, as I have absolutely no sense of direction. Luckily I can always find my way back to the villa as I just have to head for Disney! Last time I drove to the Premium Outlet mall on the way "home" we ended up on the Green belt heading for Cocoa Beach!! I blame my daughter's map reading, she said go left instead of right coming out!

Also, if you are going anytime near Easter, they have rows and rows of bunnies, eggs, easter decorations that you just don't see over here.

I agree, don't let the name fool you. This is a huge store with shelves of goodies that you won't find elsewhere.

We found their artifical plants extremely good value. They look so real and the choice was terrific!!!

I don't blame you for getting lost coming back from the Premium Outlet Mall, Fiona. I am sure they keep moving that place as we get lost every single time we go there. We keeo saying "here we go again, one day we will get it right". It is like the Twilight Zone.

Ooooooh!

I had let the name put me off!

Thanks Jewell-we'll give it a go!

At first I thought this was the place down the 27 towards Haines-but I believe it is called The Gift Mill.

I've never been in it though.

I've passed the Gift Mill many, many times on the way to other places and have yet not managed to persuade hubby to stop off and let me have a nose around. I will get there one day as I see they have a nice little restaurant inside that sounds rather interesting. I'm going to nag him next time I'm out there (once I've finished nagging him to get out there!!)

Is this any relation to the Pottery Barn in the Florida Mall? (Quick off the mark as you can see here!)

I didn't know there was a Pottery Barn in Florida Mall Fiona, but I wouldn't have thought so because they're prices are so reasonable, doubt they would be able to pay the rent on an outlet and keep their prices down.

Pottery Barn are a massive company so if there is one in the mall, I should assume it was part of the franchise??!! Could be wrong, it's been known!

There is indeed a Pottery Barn in the Florida Mall but from the goods the sold I didn't think it was the same shop.

It's not called the Old Time PB

Drat! I forgot to go when we there last!
Have to try to make it this time.
The Gift Mill is down the 27 towards Cypress gardens. It had some nice bits and pieces -some were a bit pricey I thought.

Orlandobabe rub it in why don't you? We've just come back from McArthur Glen, our closest designer outlet in Kent and both Michelle and I spent the whole day pointing out things that remind us of Florida, from the canopies that look like the Cirque de Soleil to the cookies, (no smoothie bar though) and as the sun was shining, wishing we could jump on a plane. (even economy would do!) Hope you had a good trip.

There is a bigger Old Time Pottery at Lakes Wales. Could quite happily lose my self in there for hours. Only on a wet day though.

Hi Tinkerbell
It's almost next door to Ashford International rail station where the Eurostar comes in. IExit M20 at Junction 10 and follow signs for International Station and Designer outlet. There is a shuttle bus from the station but you can walk it easily. It's got a great play area if you have children under 6 with you.
Their website is www.mcarthurglen.com/ashford if you want opening times etc.

The Pottery Barn at the Florida Mall is THE Pottery Barn. Just bought a new tea pot there.

We also called in at the Gift Mill on US 27 Sth. Didn't buy anything (I thought it was a load of tat) but my wife loved it! Que sera sera!

Didn't have time to try the restaurant, they were about to close, and we were en-route to the Eagle Ridge Mall.

Was the shop in the Mall expensive? in comparison to the store we are all raving about.

Maybe the "Old Time" means they sell last season's at lower prices? Just a thought.
