What I mean by this is, you go about doing your normal day to day things and then all of a sudden you get that feeling of being somewhere in Florida popping into your head. For example, just now I had the feeling of walking along the road past the cinema at Celebration.
Or is it we just love Florida so much it`s all we think of.

Every time we make a coffee in our house....we brought back some of that vanilla flavoured coffee mate[msnsmile2][msnsmile2]

We often say its a 'Florida Sky' when its sunny with those fluffy bits of cloud[msnsmile2]
Also in the hot weather when you come out of the supermarket and walk to the car, we always say its just like Florida - I also have an American (7 seater minivan) car[msnwink][msnwink]

My family are convinced that I have a disorder. I get so giddy-I even bought 10 pairs of Mouse ears off ebay to wear at a recent planning meeting.-Nobody else would wear them. Every book shop I pass I look at the travel guides for Orlando/Florida and I even download videos from some really good sites on the web to get the feel for riding those coasters.
The recent hot weather caused a problem as I said it wasn't as good as the Florida hot weather --really sad i know!

I used to get that feeling after shopping at Asda on a summers evening in the dark...when the street lights make the cars shine and you can't see the rust...

Music is always the trigger for me - especially the disney songs.[msnwink]
I get it every day when I wake up and wish I was by the pool with a cuppa.
Hubby had that Florida feeling on saturday. He set off from the supermarket in the right hand lane[msneek]. He had already refered to b&q as home depot. Time for a holiday me thinks[msnsmile2]
I am afraid that once it gets in your blood you are hooked. The recent hot weather does you no good, especially when you start the car and the air con starts belting out just like in Florida.
There is opnly one cure, get the next trip booked asap.
Had that feeling tonight coming out from the supermarket. It had just stopped raining but was still warm and humid - just like a Walmart trip. Only 9 days to go!!!

What about when your childs asks if we're going to the "gas" station?
Ali
Recent hot weather has made me think of Florida and how much I miss the air-con at the villa. Also we had rain and a thunderstorm in Leicester last Friday that was just like the summer rain in Orlando - only it didn't clear up after half an hour like it does there!

I have to listen to one of the Florida radio stations every day on the internet (I am currently listening to US1 Radio, Key West). I also have to log on to this site and read all the trip reports, look at the photos, etc. I think about Florida all the time and can't wait until our next trip in August and December. I love the smell when you get off the plane (has anyone noticed this smell).
I agree with Tracy the Thunderstorm in Leicester last Friday made me long to be in Florida, the humidity recently when you get out of a nice airconditioned car & the heat hits you, so many things recently make me long for Florida - must be because we arenot going this year going to Yellowston Park on Saturday instead. I'm sure it will be very nice and I do want to see other places but I still long for Florida

All the sunshine we had last week made me think of Florida, so much so that I've just booked some flights to go back[msnsmile2]

This is great isn't it-even the question makes us think of Florida-When I'm walking to the train station I have my ipod on and I listen to various podcasts about Florida and Disney etc. There are hundreds of them. The guys on there do a weekly news round up and review of rides that are closing/opening etc. I've found out so much about what to look for on particular rides that I've found them invaluable. I think that if I put the links they will be removed but if you search the podcast network then you'll be able to find them or probably just google disney podcasts or florida podcasts.
ps I go a month today!
Cinnamon does it for me too - like that lovely smell in Walmarts. We are off in October and it has seemed like a lifetime away with everyone here having holidays now. And that lovely warm air that wraps itself around you in the evening - not like here when it blows up a storm even though the day has been hot. I think Florida is always on my mind like the words of the song and once you have been you are always drawn back

There are so many good Florida feelings on this thread and it`s been great to read them all.[msnsmile2] Do you know you can get cinnamon tic tacs here. I`ve searched everywhere for anything cinnamon here but only came up with tic tacs so far. When we go over we always bring lots of cinnamon sweets back to last us until we go back again.
Must admit to saying last week coming out of Asda when it was throwing it down and the humity was in the air that it really did feel like coming out of Publix after a downpour.
We must try the podcasts about Disney. Didn`t know about that.
Hannah.
we are the same....we put a top on our youngest kid other day that my eldest son wore while in florida las trip and it still had smell of the soap powder....and the shower gel we use i keep getting a wiff of it if people use when they pass us.One of my work colleuge use it herbal essences and i stoped her one day and said stay there so i can smell you all day she looked at me with a blank expression...
The scent of Yankee Candles immediately makes me think of Florida. We always bring home a selection and whenever I pass them a catch a whiff of their scent I am back at Florida Mall or back at the villa - happy thoughts.
Linda
I have a sun tan lotion and every time i use it the smell takes me back. i just shut my eyes and i am there. My friends get fed up of me talking about it so often, but once you have been you just cant stop thinking about it. I tune into channel 13 central florida station and just listen to them talk. it's great. I[grouphug] can't wait until xmas to go back.

I am absolutely Flordia crazy! I love the weather, even the warm rain. I love to get up early, sit out by the pool and watch the sun rise, with a cup of tea and some cinnamon fruit bread, amazing.
I am longing for my next visit.

This morning my little girl mentioned that it was like a Florida morning - it's easily 25 deg and it's only 9.30am. (What I would give for a swimming pool right now)
For the whole family though whenever we hear 'I Like the way You Move' by the Bodyrockers it gives us that Florida Feeling and a big smile.
Anyone who has been on our website will know why :D

Asked the kids what they would like for breakfast this morning and they said
IHOP[msnsmile2]. They had to do with Shreddies and juice and then we get on to the topic of what we going to do in Florida what rides we like etc etc.
