Is Disney's Boardwalk near Downtown Disney? If so could someone provide driving directions, & is there a charge for parking.
Thanks
badabing
No Charge for parking, self parking is just on the left after the security hut.
Directions are turn right out of DownTown Disney keep on this road for about a mile and then turn right at the Boardwalk sign.

is the boardwalk area that quaint looking area that you pass thru on a river ferry from epcot to mgm?? different coloured wooden looking building et al?? looks very nice for stopping off between parks if i am in the right place
We usually find it from anywhere on Disney by following the signs to Epcot Resorts and then Fantasia Mini-Golf. This gets us to the right place everytime!
Disney's Boardwalk is definately worth a vist. Its one of my favourite places.
We tend to go at night for a meal and a lovely stroll around the waterfront pier. There is a wonderful Sports restaurant, ESPN Club that the children love to go in (tv's showing every sport everywhere you look!)
Its also a great place to watch the Epcot Fireworks.
Make sure you take identification, as this is asked for as you enter the car park.
Hope you have a great holiday :)

It is the quaint looking place indeed. We popped in for a nice evening stroll this last trip as we'd never been before and will definitely go again.
It is near the Fantasia Mini Golf and the road to it is opposite the back entrance to MGM (if you know where that is)

When we've parked at Boardwalk, the guard has asked to see photo ID so it might be an idea to take photo ID with you.
Maybe we look suspicious[:O][msnwink]
We were asked for ID too, I think it's because it is a resort area and not just a shopping/recreation area like Downtown Disney.
It is part of the Disney Vacation club resorts

The Boardwalk is a super place to spend some time. You can also hire one of the multi-person bikes and visit the Yacht Club at the other side of the lake. This is fun but there are some up hill bits over the bridges. We use this to justify having some of the freshly made cakes from the bakery!
Have fun!

Do you need Disney tickets to get into Disney Boardwalk and Downtown Disney?[?]

We had a ride on the free boat and had a coffee at one of the hotels and came back on the boat. The boat ride was free and staff very friendly .

Its a lovely place to watch the world go by. Early morning you see the early risers with a jog around the lake. Mid day, some that like a lazy day with a stroll. and the evening is where it has a life all of its own. Fabulous street performers, and just the place to have try one of the many traditional beers at the brewhouse

That's a freat idea about the fireworks. We have never been to Broadwalk, but went past on a boat between parks. One more for the to do list!
Think we'll add this one to our itinerary too[msnwink]

It's also only a two minute walk to the back entrance to Epcot. You enter in to the World Showcase at France. We stayed at the Boardwalk a few years ago. It's a superb hotel but if you have kids it doesn't quite have the atmosphere of the value hotels (i.e no mickey) and not a lot of food choice.
Do you know, in 15 years of going to Florida we have never been here. As we are taking my parents out to Florida we must go here this time.
Thanks [msnsmile2]

We were at the Broadwalk this Easter, and we pop by most trips. I love that the place is different at different times of day/evening and of course throughout the year. Mickey was there in his Sourcer's outfit having pics taken with the children a couple of Halloweens ago:) Nice to stroll round, nice options to eat, nice to take a boat ride, including to MGM as well as Epcot. You can infact walk to both parks from the Broadwalk. Have to watch your parking though [msnwink]
We went there one New Years Eve - was a really great atmosphere and you could see the fireworks.

Carolann, are you only meant to park there for a certain amount of time? Just want to make sure we don't over stay our welcome [msnwink]
We often go there for lunch then have a stroll around the boardwalk and then might go into Epcot for a few hours. So we are parking at about 12:00 and leaving at 8:00 and have never had any problems.
Now if you try this 5 days in a row then who knows, but with normal use you will have no problems.

Hi Karen. You are really supposed to watch your time a little, but as far as I am aware, currently they don't do any official checks. But wouldn't want the day they decided to be more vigilent, be the day you decided to park all day [msncry].
Though pleasnt during the day, very relaxing, different feel all round, the evening is usually when there is more activity going on[msnsmile2]
