Well it is sort of to do with flying.

Go to Lake Wales airfield to the Sky Diving centre there if you want a real thrill. Personally, I'll just watch but each to his own. I went to go down a 10 foot drop slide years ago and got stuck just over the edge. I told the guy that the only way I could go down was if he forced my hands off the bar. Didn't realise I had such strength! Was totally shown up by my 8 year old son who just stood at the bottom grinning up at me as he stood up.
A web page for there is http://www.skydivelakewales.com

Any of you brave souls out there tried this or even fancy this?

Hi Porky, is this the skydive simulator tube thing you mean like the one on I-Drive?? I always wanted to do that but after doing the real thing in New Zealand a couple of months back, I dont thin it would compare!!!

Anyone know any prices or what the location is like??

I flew into Lake Wales a couple of years ago - in fact I did a touch and go (land and take off again without stopping for those who don't know :)) - it was deserted and no-one on the radio.

Looked the perfect location for sky-diving though as it's well away from built up areas.

Tinkerbell, this is the real thing. A friend of mine has been there a few times and really enjoyed himself. Me, I hate the drops on the roller coasters so this is a definite no no!

Jacqui, have to say that the drops on the coasters are much worse than the feeling of skydiving believe it or not!! The split second you leave the plane you panic thinking how far behind you are going to leave your stomach, but honestly, it doesnt go at all!!

Apparently this is something to do with having no conept of height above a certain height. The feeling is amazing, and something that if you could overcome the initial fear I think any person would really enjoy! I didn't find it such an adrenaline rush as I expected just a really enjoyable experience!!!!

I know you think I'm talking rubbish but you'll all have to see for yourselves if you dont believe me!!!!<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Me and my mate are going to Orlando next year.

We would love to go to this place but we both aren't drving
because we're not old enough. Most places seem easy to get to (iridetrolley, shuttle buses etc...)

But how will we be able to get there, a bus maybe? Its something
we really want to do so we would get a taxi if it came to it.

We're staying on International Drive btw.
