3 points in the first match is the all important thing. Performance can come second. Will have to improve though for when we get to the knock out stages. Lets just hope all the kick offs are in the evening and not at 2pm when the heat must have been impossible

I know a wins a win, but if we play like we did yesterday we don't have a hope in [}:)]
The heat must have been awful, and the Mexican Ref was bad not to allow more water consumptuion.

Pick it up boys, we're behind you all the way.

What is all this whinging about the heat??? Come on guys, it's Germany, not Mexico! Yes, it was a bit warm in Frankfurt on Saturday, but I play every week in those sort of conditions - I participated in a tournment yesterday where I played for over 120 minutes in the middle of the afternoon. OK I'm not playing at such a high level as the England team. But I'm not a highly trained professional althlete in my early 20s with a whole battalion of support staff behind me either. Did the England team not make ANY investigations as to what Germany is like in the summer? Did they not watch the GP at Hockenhiem last year? The conditions here are NOT unexceptional. If their defence for Saturday's poor showing is heat exhaustion, we're in big trouble.

Still, a win's a win....just stop whining about the heat and start scoring some goals ;)

Errrrrrrrr...The Mexicans were complaining about the heat...I guess it was QUITE warm. Oh, and the main issue was the lack of water they were ALL being allowed to take on board I think, not the heat as such. I am sure the 5-1 score lines are on their way[msnwink]

The same old story is our big-name players can't perform in the big games for England. Where were Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney, Cole on Saturday? I also think the Socceroos did really well, and were let down by that ref in the end. Do you think they will ever use video refs, to replay these type of stuff ups. There's so much money invested in these games, Australia are still ranting about the refs dodgy decision.
