Most Vets will be able to supply this information also, I know ours does.

You need to contact your local DEFRA office (your vet will have the number) to ensure you have all the paperwork that you need. I would recommend BA as a carrier and they should be helpful if you phone them to make all the arrangements.

Isn't there something about the airlines not carrying animals to Florida between about April and October because of the heat or did I dream that?

Ah, I read it here. http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums/topic_7392.asp

A company called Golden Arrow Shippers was recommended to us.

They specialise in shipping dogs and cats by air all across the world.

I have the phone number and address if you want to DM me.

I remember that is what they told my friend Karyn with her two yorkies, Blottie, it was May to Oct and she was panicking about getting them a flight before the end of April. May only be some airlines. something at the back of my mind?

Hi

I may be to late with this post as you may have booked with Vigin but we transported our 2 cocker spaniels over to Florida last July with Animal Airlines.
The price was £350.00 per dog, they provided the required boxes.

I was quoted £2,000 to take our parrot over.
I have looked into doing this myself and I think I can do it for about £300.
The airline is £87 and 30 days quarintine $200
Plus I have to buy a special cage and vets cert.
No where near £2,000

Give him a map and compass and let him fly there[msnwink]:D
