We have used this forum to get all the answers we wanted or from the Brits guide to Orlando which you can get from places like WH smiths for about £12
i was going to say the same Neil
a brits guide to orlando by simon veness usually under £10 from amazon, updated every year and well worth the money
we used this for our first trip and despite travelling with family who had been five times they where amazed with the info i had gained from this book
and it goes without saying i got stacks of info from this forum too[msnwink]

The Brits Guide.... is an invaluable book.
It is a great source of information. We leave an up to date copy on our villa for guests to use.

We did have a copy of the Unoffical guide to Disneyworld in our Villa for our guests to use but it has gone walk about, probably into someones suitcase !!
We did find that it was very useful.

We also found it very useful, and the Brit's Guide and this forum - get as much information as you can from any source, it's all worth it to make the best of your trip.

I too like the unoffical guide. They do a smallpocket version now too. They have some good route plans in them which tell you which rides are best to do first thing etc.
We found it very helpful on our first trip when we didn't know our way around. It also explains what is involved in each ride , so you don't end up with white knuckles and brown trowsers by accident.
Great for tips on where to stand for fireworks and parades too.
And it gives you an idea of which rides and attractions will appeal to the various ages of your party.

Another useful book is - The Other Orlando, what to do when you've done Disney and Universal - author Kelly Monoghan, published by The Intrepid Traveller.
It gives you lots of ideas, hints and tips on other interesting places to visit, dinner attractions, water parks, shopping etc.

We provide a copy of the Unofficial Guide and the Brit's Guide in our villa. They both contain useful information and tips on getting the most from your visits to the parks.
As Patty says the Unofficial Guide is really useful for first time visitors as it gives ratings for the rides so that you know which age groups they will be best suited for. The Brit's guide also gives lots of tips for other attractions as well as suggestions for restaurants worth visiting.
Even though we have lost count of the times we have visited Disney we still like to read the guide books to make sure we haven't missed anything, although that's unlikely due to the amount of time I spend on the forum![msnsmile2]

We also provide "A Brits guide to Orlando" in both our villas, although I don't think they are both up to date, I change one each year. But at least they haven't gone walk abouts yet.
my brits guide is for 2005 and i'm waiting til oct/nov for the 2007 edition
i was tempted to buy the 2006 edition but since we're not going til march 07 thought i'd wait
our guide has been read and reread we even lent it to our neighbour and friends who both called it "the bible"[msnwink]

I think that is what I am going to do, Thanks Mizzy[msnsmile2]
This forum and the Brits Guide are all you'll need. Have fun.
