Hi everyone
I am wondering if anyone can advise me. I am considering looking into working from home as a independent travel agent ie link up. Does anyone know anything about this type of business and can assist me and offer any advise. I have been giving this alot of thought for a while now and find it interesting. Thank you

I can't help with the travel agent stuff Rebekah but it's nice to hear from you. It must seem ages ago since you were in Florida.
Hope you and your's are all keeping well.
Hi Rebekah, nice to see you on the OV again!
Don't mean to be rude but do you have any experience in travel?

Rebecka I did this work for a while, most companies will ask for a minimum of 5 years experience in a travel agency or similar.
Send me a PM if you want answers to specific questions.
Jill
Hi Rebekah,
Glad to see you back on here again.
You would usually be required to have some IATA ticketing qualifications, and possibly some others, I would also think you would need to put in a lot of work/hours to make it work - a bit like owning a villa really[msnwink]. If it is something that interests you, go for it!

Hi Rebekah,
Great to see you again ,your avatar is easy to spot seems a long time .
I thought about this briefly but I believe you need certain qualifications, but don't let that stop you.most things are possible all depends how determined you are [msnsmile2][msnsmile2]

Hi everyone
Thanks everyone. We have checked out a site that trains you up and naturally it costs. I gave up work 8years ago when I had my daughter abigail and I was in the banking business. With regard to travel I have no experience but have always found it interesting. I do however go on the web everyday and Im of course extremely interested in travel. I remember watching on Granada reports a while ago a woman being interviewed and she is working from home in this business. We are still going to continue looking into this and look into the legal aspect. Its has been a while since being online chatting on the forum. I have missed it and have noticed a few more villa communities have now completed. Does that include the work on the I4. That was a nightmare last year. How you are all well as we are and paula I hope you are looking for your holiday in July If I remember correctly.
I do miss florida so much. Next time we hope to go in 07 or 08 just with our little girl as the two other children one leaving school in a few weeks and ready for the gcse and our eldest daughter ready to do her A S levels and has been predicted A so next year when she is doing her A levels I doubt she will want to join us in florida or the following year when she goes to university. She hoping one day to go further a field with her career hopefully as a war correspondent .....we are proud but I will worry. Once again thanks guys.
regards Rebekah
