Hi
I am a US citizen although I have only lived there when I was a child,
but I always renewed my passport and hold a SS#.

My Q is, I am thinking of moving there on a permanent basis and will apply for my spouses visa but I remember reading somewhere on this forum that I will be asked about US Taxes for the previous years.
As I never worked in the US before I never paid Taxes there before.

If anyone has any Info on this, It would be very helpful.

Thanks

I think this might be what you were looking for? http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums/topic_23925.asp There's info about taxes on the second page.

You may need to contact the IRS to find out the definitive answer though as the US and UK have a double taxation treaty, which means if you pay tax in one country, this is deducted from your tax liability in the other other country.
