Is it possible to visit Reunion without an invitation, i would love to have a look around, I believe it is a gated community?
Also are the model homes in Artisan Park (Celebration)open to visitors ? We have been twice before to the model homes at Beak Street, do we still get information from there first? We walked from the town centre to the model homes and back in the midday sun last time - won't be doing that again [msneek] much too far to Artisan.

Reunion has security guards at each gate and they don't allow people in without an invitation. The sales centre is 200yds from the main entrance and showing an interest in buying would get you a private viewing. Expect some high pressure selling though. Alternatively, there is a road running through Reunion which would give you a good view.

Artisan park was still open to visitors the last time we were there and yes we had to go to the Beak street office first

Hi Sharon,
The security (and therefore the cost to the owners) was increased this year and the gates are supposed to be manned 24 hrs a day. Since the surrounding areas are not fenced in it wont stop the casual walker but they few and far between in America.

Hi Karen,
There are 2 routes to renting on Reunion. One is directly through Reunion (which may be via a travel company or referred by the owner)and the other is like Julie says, direct through the owners via the internet. Reunion have made it difficult and less attractive to rent your villa out by yourself. They have a cashless system where all payments are made with a card that takes payment from the owners account. Unless the owner can risk giving their guests total freedom to spend on the owners account, they would not be able to spend any money so they can't use the golf, restaurants, bars, spa, shops or water park. In exchange though, the rental is half the price that Reunion charges, and not everyone uses the resorts facilities.
