Last year we stayed at Terra Verde and tried the walmart on the 192 (just off the Oren Brown Road) and the one on the SR535, this one was my favourite. It was very new and spacious and also quiet and I preferred the range of clothes/shoes/cosmetics etc.

Anyway this yera we are go back to I Drive and would travel to the Walmard on the 535 but have heard that there is a new on on the John Young Parkway which I think would be closer for us. Has anyone used this one and do you know how it compares to the one on the 535?

I think the one you may have hear about is the one located at the junction of Osceola Parkway and the Florida Turnpike. If your staying on I-Drive then the one on 535 is the nearest.

We went to the one by the Florida turnpike. Don't know if it was me but there seemed to be far more locals, and far fewer holidaymakers / villa owners there.

Yes, there is one on John Young Parkway. Its on the junction with Sand Lake Rd. Next to Lowes and lots of other shops. Must be better than the one on 192. That one is absolutely awful. US27 and Haines are nice ones too.

We have often used this one on the way back, it is often very busy, but better than the one on the 192[msnwink]

HI ELAINE We are 5 mins drive away from both WALMARTS ON 192 AND 535 and we find that each one has its own style and deals and the staff are very friendly at both cannot do enough for you , coming from i DRIVE the nearest one is 535 , But saying that they have finished the road 192 and is well worth a drive down east to arrive at the second WALMART as the plants and trees they have put there are beatiful

I prefer the one at Cagans Crossing, if you can avoid it do avoid the one on JYP, mind you most of the villa communites all have one nearby without having to go to this one.

There is a new one on the 27 nearer Clermont. It had only just opened when we were in February and I thought it was better than the one at Cagans Crossing. Also the one in Haines City is good.

Yep we went to the one on the 27 near Clermont as well on recommendation from our Wedding Planner and it was the best one we had been to in all my years of going to Florida!!!!! I would recommend this one to anyone who asked for a good one.

We tried the new one on the 27 and have to say prefer our local, just out side the gated community of Southern Dunes.

john young parkway is OK not the newest we went there in march as we came across it when driving home late one evening. I would want to go to the one on the 535 next time I saw it too late and we then went to the one we always go to on the 192 which is also ok but we always go there, we even know where things are in the 192one it is great to find new stores to go I like to explore. My husband thinks every walmart must be the same but sometimes you will be surprised similar but never the same.

The new ones on 535 and Cagans crossing feel nicer to walk around probably because they are newer. The stock levels vary in each one and if one does not have what we are looking for, then one of the others usually does......

Have to say they all seem to be of a similar size but you can find that they have different offers on and sell slightly different items.

Our local Walmart is on the 192 but on our last visit in April I found that they didn't have a lot of checkouts open so the queues were too long for my liking.

I didn't like the one on the 535 but then I suppose you could put that down to not being used to the layout yet.

The one on JYP and Sandlake is definately the nearest one to International Drive and is OK.

I normally find clothing I really like which isn't available in my size so then have to do a trawl of the Walmart's in the vacinity. I like the one mentioned above on the junction of the Osceola Parkway and Michigan Avenue but it's too far out from International Drive.

We also drive down to St Cloud and use the one there.

We have tried the new one US27 just north of the US192 connection, this has to be the largest supermarket I have ever been to. Much prefer the local Publix near our Villa.

Hi Mary (again),
The nearest Walmart to Glenbrook is about 4/5 minutes by car. It's on the same side of the US27, you won't miss it!

I actually prefer Super Target - their electonics are better! :)
